Happy Father's Day Anthony!

Happy Father's Day to my handsome hubby!  I am so glad that I get to navigate this life with you!  I'm so proud of the dad you have become and can't thank you enough for going through the crazy past few months with me.  I am also so proud of you for going after what you want at work and making it happen.  One day this will help to show our kids that if you want something bad enough...  go after it and make it happen.  I may not tell you often enough how much I love you.  I'm lucky to have you as my bff.  I'm so glad that we can still sit on the patio and talk for hours.  Your kiddos adore you.  I hope you have a wonderful Father's Day.... you deserve it.  I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us and our beautiful family.  Love you the most.  Smooch!

Aubryn Jane is FOUR MONTHS!

Happy 4 Months Pretty Aubryn!

You are 4 months!  You are starting to eat real cereal, laugh out loud, recognize anytime your sister is in the room, and trying to hold your own bottle.  You are close to rolling over and have the most laid back personality.  We just found out that you have a dairy allergy so will be switching your formula.  We are so lucky to have you in our lives and love you so much!

Angelo Turns FOUR!

MY WILD MAN IS FOUR!  Oh Angelo.... we love you so so much.  You fill our home with so much laughter, mess, and noise!  You are a spark that is so unique and one of kind.  I often here family, friends, and strangers say that if they had to choose to be in the head of one person, it would be YOU!  You bounce from one activity to another.... you bounce from one thought to the next.... and you really don't stop until you sleep.  Once you want something, you want it now.  You wake up asking for breakfast followed by another random thought, "Mom, we need to buy a coo coo clock!"  I sometimes am left bewildered how you go from talking about what we are eating for dinner to you telling me you love Santa's beard and kangaroos have a pouch.  Your little brain never stops.  You are so good at building things with your magnet blocks and have a quest to learn and to know how things work.  You tell everyone we meet that you are a "ninja".  Under all of your onriness you have the most loving and giving heart.  You are so sweet and feel really bad when you hurt your sister's feelings.  I read what I wrote last year about you not being over emotional.  That has definitely changed this year.  You play hard and you love hard.  You are a lot to deal with at times but are also a lot to love.  You compliment others, love your dad so much, and have a kind heart.  Thank you my little ninja for letting me see the world through your beautiful eyes.  It's definitely an adventure that I wouldn't change for the world!

Four Year Old Stats:
Height: 43.4 Inches (96%)
Weight: 51 lbs (99.3%)

Favorite Food: cheeseburgers, cereal, granola bars, hot dogs.  You sneak into the pantry and devour food.  You still really eat just about everything and always want a snack!

Favorite things you say:  Mom, we need to go to the grocery store, We need to buy that (referencing every toy he sees on TV), I love this toy, mmmmmm..... the entire time you eat, this was a really really great day, a knife a knife (first thing when we go to a restaurant), This was the best day of my entire life (anytime we do anything fun)!

Addalyn is SIX!

My beautiful girl is SIX!  I cannot believe it.  Please time slow down!  You continue to amaze me with the little girl you are becoming.  You are so kind, AMAZING with your brother and sister, and determined.  You work your booty off and have become an amazing dancer and performer... I'm so proud of you.  I get so nervous every time you step on stage.  You set the bar high for yourself and are not comfortable with anything other than being the best.  You are able to at such a young age own the stage.  You are sassy, bold, and big.  You are beyond flexible and talented.  You are so confident and motivated, it's so cool to see.  You have taken our move to Nebraska extremely well.  You left your family, friends, and dance studio and are doing great here in Omaha.  You tried out a few different dance studios and walked in and were not shy at all.  You take care of your brother and sister so well.  Aubryn's eyes light up every time you come into the room.  You two have a special connection and you are a great role model.  Thank you for being an amazing little human.  As hard as it is to see you grow up...it's the best to see what a wonderful person you are becoming.  As you restart kindergarten at St. Patrick's this fall, please don't lose sight of the wonderful heart you have.  I love you more than you will ever know!  Smooch!

Welcome Aubryn Jane.

A lot of big changes have occurred since my last post almost a year ago!  On February 1, 2015 at 9:29AM we welcomed beautiful Aubryn Jane weighing 5 lbs, 12 Ounces.  It was quite the pregnancy.... it was really really easy the first 7 months.  Had just a little nausea, very little cravings, but did experience some bad headaches the first 20 weeks.  All was a typical pregnancy until 7 months in when I once again, started to experience the dreaded kidney stones!  After a couple of week long stints in the hospital, we thought they were pretty under control.  A few weeks passed in between when I had another round of stones.  Due the pain medicine I had to be on, they decided that it would be best for Aubryn if I delivered her at 37 weeks (just like Addalyn and Angelo).  The morning of delivery I was in a lot of pain and just didn't feel right about delivering that day.  My gut was right.  As soon as the pulled her out I knew something was not right.  I did not hear her cry, and the doctor was trying to compensate for her lack of breathing.  In the NICU... the nurses described her as "feisty".  One nurse said that in her 15 years as a NICU nurse, she was the feistiest baby she had ever seen!  We are going to be in for it with this one!

My sweet baby was wisked away with about 12 doctors and nurses to the NICU.  They think her lungs were not quite mature enough or that the pain medicine I had been on made her lazy in taking her on breaths.  She spent 10 days in the NICU which were just heart breaking for daddy and I.  We had to leave the hospital without her which was one of the hardest things to do.  We took turns day and night going up to the hospital and were elated on February 11th when Aubryn was finally discharged and could meet her anxious sister and brother!

Now our big girl just turned 8 weeks.  She absolutely perfect in every way!  At her one month check up she weighed in at 8 lbs, 4 ounces.  She has been a great sleeper and a wonderful eater!  We can hardly keep Angelo and Addalyn away from her.  They have been wonderful helpers and so sweet with her.  She has already lived in 2 states (Kansas/Nebraska) in her short 8 weeks.  We are so lucky to call her ours!
